We met Doug while out giving a talk to the RPOAM (Rental Property Owners Association of Mid-Michigan). It was a pretty memorable experience as we saw a comet that flashed over the sky on the way out of the meeting.
Doug had a fun nature about him and was real helpful in answering questions at the meeting. We decided to have him on the podcast to discuss his story of growing from zero to 81 units.

Some of the things that stood out to me in our discussion were that Doug has a real solid sense of his skills.
He doesn’t pretend to be a DIY landlord and knows that his strengths lie in the numbers.
He shares how all of his deals came in very different forms of financing. He’s made some mistakes and learned from them and continued to grow his business. That’s the biggest takeaway.
If you’d like to check out his company you can do so at https://www.eskerproperties.com/
You can also connect with Doug in the RentPrep for Landlords Facebook group.
